ME/FM Society of BC
was formed in 2004 following the amalgamation of the Fibromyalgia Society of BC and the ME Society of BC.

MS Society of BC
Founded in 1948, the society provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families, funding research to find the cause and cure for this disease.
MS Knowledge Network – offers quality, consistent MS information and support on all aspects of life, including advances in research, daily resources and community services

Quality of Life Equipment – There is a wide variety of programs promoting personal independence and contribute to an enhanced quality of life. There are Grants designed to provide financial assistance needing support with equipment and devices. There are criteria needs to be met for equipment – not all are funded.
1:1 Peer Support Program – Is a telephone and internet-based program to help support you with another who understands and has lived with MS.
Self-Advocacy Support – For those who face advocacy challenges in the areas of disability rights, housing, employment, income security etc.
Young People with MS – Often diagnosed in children and adolescents, regardless of age, the symptoms can be similar but the unique concerns are related to the different times of life during which MS is experienced.

- Young Adult Committee – Networks, build skills, motivate each other and consider the type of personal impact they want to have to better the lives of people affected by MS.
- Paediatric Clinic – Runs twice a month at Hospital For Sick Children by a team of health care professionals with expertise in childhood MS.
- Parents of Children with MS – Have real concerns about their child’s health, education and future so parents receive support they need and avoid feeling isolated and alone.
- Caregivers – Nearly half (46%) of Canadians aged 15+ have provided care to a family member or friend with a long-term condition, disability or aging need

SolveME
All members of the Solve ME/CFS Initiative (Solve M.E.) Board of Directors have a personal relationship with post-infection diseases. They are either patients themselves or have a family member who suffers. This intimate connection furthers their commitment to making these diseases understood, diagnosable, and treatable.
